Game Review – Uppers (PS Vita)

I could never guess Uppers was made by the same guys behind Senran Kagura. What would you expect from them? Boobs? Yes! Cute girls? Of course! Macho guys? …WHAT?! That’s right! The Senran Kagura creators are challenging themselves by doing a game that none of their fans asked for, and the results are VERY surprising!

Shameless Review – Caligula (PS Vita)

Caligula – a game that’s all about taboos. It was based on the “Caligula effect”, rather than the film “Caligula”, or so the writer says. If this was really the case, it would be better to call it “Caligula Effect” instead of giving the same name as an infamous porn flick. Nothing good can come of that. Regardless, the game itself is an amalgam of good ideas mixed with some weird stuff, which is right up my alley!

Game Review – Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain (PS Vita)

I was in a stroke of luck with my recent game picks. So many awesome titles, but then, it happened! Nippon Ichi made an experiment with this game by combining the atmosphere of “The Witch and the Hundred Knight” with a retro Dungeon Crawler. Playing this was supposed to be a break for me, but now I feel even more tired and also angry…

Game Review – Root Letter (PS4/PS Vita)

After a long time, I finally got to talk about a Visual Novel! But wait a minute! This one has actual gameplay! You can’t  “play” a Visual Novel! You can only read it! This can’t possibly be right! BUT WAIT! This one was made by the same guys who created Love Plus, so it has to be bizarre in at least some way!

Game Review – Phantasy Star Nova (PS Vita)

Sorry, but this isn’t a Star Ocean 5 review, even though this game looks a lot like it! The newest chapter of tri-Ace’s space odyssey will soon be release in English, but for now, I want to talk about the other sci-fi adventure developed by tri-Ace. The one that’s owned by SEGA! Yep! SEGA! Now you know there’s probably something wrong about Phantasy Star Nova!

Game Review – Atelier Shallie Plus (PS Vita)

Hey! Sometimes I still like to play those silly Japanese games with nothing more to them other than its cuteness. This, however, isn’t the case for Atelier Shallie – the final chapter in the Dusk trilogy. I hope the next arc can be as engaging and intriguing as this one was, but for now, take a look at the cool new additions that this Plus version got!

Game Review – Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (PS3/PS4)

I can’t complain too much about my current gaming life! The fighting game genre became popular again, so there’re lots of new titles coming out for every taste and style! Nitro+, Shining Force, even Dengeki Bunko have their own fighting games! This created what many have been calling “anime fighters”. However, for me, those titles were just warm ups for the REAL THING: Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator! The “supposedly” final chapter to the Xrd arc! And it is GLORIOUS!
