Song: “Good-bye Crisis” by Okui Masami
So, we have this title with the same name as a song from the Beatles. I’ve heard the story is about a civil war and you play as a secret agent. While this has nothing to do with the Beatles song – which was a play on contradictions and opposite ideas – this plot sure sounds really exciting! But then I discover this game was made by the popular brand Lump of Sugar, which made me lose hope. I watched the opening to see the civil war stuff left as secondary in favor of the regular school setting.
That’s right, I didn’t play this game and don’t intent to, as I am not a big Lump of Sugar fan to start with. However, the game itself is not the reason for this opening to be here. It is for Okui Masami, who sings the opening “Good-bye Crisis”, which is just too fantastic of a song! I love this singer since the days of Digi Charat and Slayers! She has become big since then and is now a member of Japan’s greatest musician group: Jam Project. Don’t know what she is doing singing a Galge opening, but I think hiring her was the most expensive thing on their budget.
Any, really! I was expecting the “secret agent” protagonist to kick some asses during the riff, but all I got was some girls crying and blinking. It was boring, but I suppose this is to be expected from a Galge opening.
