Game Review – Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke 2 (PS VITA)

PSVita_Cover_sceSince it’s Japanese release on July 17, “Oreshika 2” history became filled with success and controversy. But, how? Isn’t this supposed to be one of the best seller titles for this month? This is a complicated matter which is better to understand by playing, but I will try my fullest to explain…

Anime Review – Tokyo Ghoul

tokyoghoulnewThis time I will talk about what is probably the most mainstream series of this season: Tokyo Ghoul. Funny how I was kinda skipping the manga series even being a bigger otaku about reading then watching stuff. Well, now that I finally got started, is it as good as everyone told me?

Galge Review – Chiccha Love Apart (Warning: Lolis)

apartment02And here we go: My review for the second game from the “demoniac trinity” in an attempt to vanquish the evil within Galette – a company that got super popular with loli-games such as “Onii-chan Sharing”. This particular title is from the same team who worked on their “Santaful Summer”, which means the cast is…”lolier” than usual! Hooray!

Galge Review – Shuki Shuki Daishuki!! (Warning: Lolis)

shukishuki07This is one of the galges from the “unholy triad” which are three title released at the end of June and are the reason why galgamers are calling last month as “Loli-June”. Since I decided to unveil the truth behind this special period, I am starting with the one I presumed to be the worst. Was I correct to assume this? Or am I on for a big surprise?

Anime Review – Magimoji Rurumo

rurumo01Detta! Finally, I got the chance to watch one of the series I was most excited about for this season: Magimoji Rurumo! Not only this was recommended for every single person I know that has read the manga, it is based on a book written and drawn by Watanabe Wataru, the same author of Yowamushi Pedal – and we have sung many praises for this anime here on Otaku Overdrive before.

Game Review – Chou Megami Shinkou Noire: Gekishin Black Heart (PS VITA)

NeptuneTactics01Neptune! I played the remake of the 1st game for the VITA to reach the conclusion that this series is not for me, and there’s a simple reason for that: It’s a female-characters-only game. When a man writes a story where there are only girls with no male characters around, chances are the plot will be boring as hell or simply non-existent, while every character will be a bunch of moe-blobs who release weird “cute” sounds from time to time and are a bit too close to each other. This is no different for the Neptune franchise, but I am sucker for Tactics RPGs, so I just had to play this. Fortunately, I found out this game was much more than I was expecting…

Anime Review – Akame Ga Kill

20140121_akame01This story tells the tale of a innocent countryside boy who wants to make himself known and rich in the big city. Being a big fan of RPGs I can definitely relate to this theme, even if it can be a little overused. Besides, this time we have a little different development from what you would expect at the end of this first episode. And I am sorry to say: SPOILERS.

Galge Review – Semiramis no Tenbin

001_jbxC6WPRBpvBQA“The Scales of Semiramis” is a title that goes out of your conventional carefree love-comedy. It’s a dark tale where everything is lies…EVERYTHING IS LIES!!! つづく…
