Game Review – Guilty Gear Xrd ~ SIGN (PS3/PS4)

Guilty Gear Xrd – SIGN is so freaking powerful that it simply destroyed our youtube channel! But we don’t give a damn! We just created a new channel to post this fucking review! This is how much we love this darn game!!!

Also, check Blazen for some funny comics!

Bottom Five Disliked Animes of 2014

OPYes, that one is new. This year I decided to make a list of the animes I watched that I disliked the most, after all, pissing your public seems popular for some reason. I choose a list of 5 instead of 10 because I was already going a little insane. It is important so say that this list, unlike the top 10, is all mine. Gangrelion has no saying here. Oh, and like the top 10, this is about what I disliked, not necessarily the worst for the public, so if you disagree, remember it is just my opinion. If you feel offended, sorry. Complaints are welcomed in the comments.

Top Ten Favorite Animes 2014

Top-anime-OPAnd we are at that time of the year again! And with it, at the time to write the new list with the animes we at OtakuOverdrive liked the most in 2014. Like last year, it is a Top Ten of our favorite animes, not a Top Ten for the best animes of 2014, so if you don’t feel like the animes we choose are the best choices, don’t feel offended. It is just personal taste.

Manga Review – The end of Naruto

evolution-of-narutoFinally! After 15 long years, we come to the end of Naruto. Actually, it’s been over a month, I just didn’t have the time to read it until now. Sorry… Well, In the early 2000s, if you were an otaku, you could not escape this manga. It was huge, it was the new Dragon Ball, it was going to be the greatest example to be copied by every single Shonen Manga to come in the decades to follow it. In the end, though, should we still keep any good memory of the “Blond ninja in an orange jumpsuit”? つづく…

Game Review – Toushin Toshi: GIRLS GIFT (3DS)

toushintoshi94Until recently, I believed the port of “Pastel Chime Continue” by 5pb for the PSP was the last time something from AliceSoft to be released outside the PC realm, and like most of their games, Pastel Chime is a SRPG without too much focus on the “RPG” aspects, which are just a “side-dish” for the DatingSim parts. This is not to my liking, but I suppose nothing can be done, since this isn’t their line of expertise. That’s why I got high hopes for this remake of Toushin Toshi II for the 3DS, since they got Imageepoch to develop it for them, and those guys really know how to handle this genre! Romance, battles, drama, conspiracy and a little bit of “ecchi”. Those are the elements that define the most controversial game on the 3DS(?).

Game Review – Oedo Blacksmith (PS Vita)

OedoBlackSmith-05Nippon Ichi is at it again. This is a new game following their trend to make simple games at the style of western indie games. This trend was officially recognized by Nippon Ichi when they were developing  htoL#NiQ (Hotaru no Nikki), but whoever followed Nippon Ichi releases for a couple years would easily be able to notice they have been following this trend since way back. This isn’t bad! Simple games can be really good as well! But how well this game fares in the end?

Galge Review – Koi Suru Kanojo no Bukiyou na Butai

koikano04Certainly, there are Galges that were being much more hyped than “Koi Suru Kanojo no Bukiyou na Butai”, but since I am losing my patience with this genre, I decided to pick only titles that don’t piss me off. This Charage by CUBE was the only title that my filter left for me to play for this month. I suppose this is what I get for being too picky…
