Game Review – SaGa Scarlet Grace (PS Vita)

After mentioning Legend of Legacy so many times on my Alliance Alive Review, I guess it was just a matter of time until I get to this game here. Scarlet Grace is the true successor to the SaGa series, but it has been almost one years since its release in Japan, and it managed to go all this time almost unnoticed and with no signs of a localization coming anytime soon. But why? Maybe I can shed some light on that…

Game Review – Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna/I Am Setsuna (PS Vita/PS4)

Much like Child of Light, Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is a game that gives a nostalgic feeling by recreating the glory of JRPGs from the 8/16 bits era, while still creating something new at the same time. Those two games are actually pretty different from each other, but it’s still interesting how both feature a red-haired heroine. Red must be the color for “nostalgia”! Game Review – Bravely Second (3DS)

bravelysecond88Bravely Default was one of the best RPGs to come out lately. Together with Gunvolt, it’s one of the only two games that I consider to be so good that it’s worth buying a Nintendo 3DS just to play it! I have a list of games that were hated by many people, even my closest friends, and in spite of that, I never got to try any of those titles myself, but the time has finally come! With that said, I proudly present the first item: Dragon Quest VII! This was a huge success when it was released back in 2000 in Japan for the Playstation 1, with nearly 4 million copies being sold. Which means I have nothing to fear! After all, 4 million Japanese can’t be wrong, right?

Game Review – Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy (PS Vita/Smartphone)

chaosrings3-02Chaos Rings 3 is a weird game! The previous titles in the series were all smartphone games with a short and dark story about couples trapped in another dimension being forced to sacrifice each other in a series of cruel battles in order to save the world from an impending doom. However, this third game (actually, this is the 4th one) greatly deviates from those previous titles. Is this a good or a bad thing? It depends on how much you loved the original formula or how much you enjoy the elements used in this new one…
