Game Review – Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS)

Now that I finally cleared it, I can undoubtedly say that Shadows of Valentia is my favorite Fire Emblem, so far! I wonder why this was once considered the “black sheep of the series”! I recommend it to anyone, but if you’re looking for more specific reasons to get yourself a copy, that’s what this video above is for!

Let’s Play – Summon Night 6 ~ 1st Arc (PS4)

Here’s my Let’s Play series of Summon Night covering the first arc of the game with the male protagonist Raj, and the start of the second arc with the female protagonist Amu. For anyone who wants to watch a huge fan-boy of the series going crazy over the smallest details and commenting about many trivia while doing stupid otaku jokes.

Shameless Review – Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen (PS Vita/PS3/PS4)

The original Utawarerumono was a serious tale about war and conquest with tragic developments. I could even compare it to Lord of the Rings or even “A Song of Ice and Fire” (Although George Martin’s novels have more “H-scenes” than the actual Eroge). Itsuwari no Kamen, however, is more of a comedic story, with more female characters than recent Aquaplus RPGs and a lot more of fan-service. All of this combined with a protagonist that is a magnet for troubles involving baths and naked women. Sacrifices were made in favor of those “Galge” antics, as seem that all the RPG gameplay that’s left is very simplistic and lacks depth. But this game is still bound to please fans…probably! Either way, I wouldn’t recommend it! And here’s why:

Game Review – Luminous Arc Infinity (PS Vita)

Luminous Arc Infinity07Being a game by Yoshifumi Hashimoto, the mind behind the classic Harvest Moon series (Now known as “Story of Season”), you would expect the same innocent charm and addicting gameplay from that series, but Luminous Arc Infinity turns out to be a whole different beast all together! This is to be expected! After all, Luminous Arc is a different series with its own style. But what if this new chapter doesn’t quite fit into its original series, either?

Game Review – Fire Emblem If/Fates (3DS)

fireemblemif-113Fire Emblem If is one of the few games that makes worthy getting a Nintendo 3DS just to play it. Awakening was already a pretty damn good RPG, but this new entry manages to surpass the previous one on pretty much everything! Well, most of it, anyway…Considering that it is actually three games in one!

Game Review – Stella Glow (3DS)

stellaglow131v2Imageepoch is one of my most beloved Japanese developers. Thus so, I wish I could love every single inch of their last game, but the truth is I’ve got quite the love-and-hate history going for this title. Is it worth paying around 6000 yen on it? This is up to you, but I can help by giving a rough idea of the best and the worst of Stella Glow.

Game Review – Tales of the World: Reve Unitia (3DS)

TOW-ReveUnitia-62Originally released for Android cellphones as “Tactics Union”, Reve Unitia is a “Tales of” title from the “The World” spin-off line, and just like its predecessors, it features main characters across the whole franchise against a new threat. Since this new villain never turns out to be Thanos, I have to pity the fool who tries to defeat this army of over 40 epic heroes! After all, they already saved the world before when they were out-numbered. But this crossover is different, because now it’s Heroes VS Heroes! Ah! The irony!
